Overview

Highlights

Built to resemble a traditional Vietnamese junk, the timber-clad Halong Violet is characterized by a retro Indochina-style décor, showcasing gleaming wooden floors, opulent silks and velvets, and cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the breath-taking views. This luxurious ship cruises in style amidst the breath-taking pinnacles of Vietnam’s Halong Bay, her red sails dwarfed by the Bay’s 3000 towering limestone islands.

Six Suites

Violet has just six bright, spacious suites, all showcasing impressive individually-themed interiors and color palettes. There are two Junior Suites, each measuring 387-sq-ft in total, with a 64-sq-ft balcony; one has a king-sized bed and the other has twin beds. The four Violet Imperial Suites are larger still; each measuring 409-sq-ft, including 53-sq-ft balconies; all are located on the Upper Deck and all have king-sized solid wood beds, dark furniture, charming fabrics, decorative walls and ceiling paintings.

All of the Junior and the Imperial Suites have marble bathrooms, each with a walk-in shower and whirlpool, as well as amenities including a mini-bar, tea & coffee making facilities, robes, hair dryer, flat-screen TV and DVD player. Connecting cabins are available for families.

Dining On Board

Multi course meals ‒ including a wide variety of dishes created from the finest local and internationally sourced ingredients ‒ are served in the dining room, on the sun deck, in your suite or on your balcony. The menu includes delicious seafood caught that very day, and delectable Vietnamese fusion cuisine, as well as other Asian delights and international dishes. All meals are served à la carte with breakfast accompanied by a side buffet offering many more options.

Facilities On Board

Facilities on board the Halong Violet Cruise are extensive for a boat of this size. There is a small spa with one room for singles and one room for couples, offering a selection of relaxing treatments including east-west massages, reflexology, and pedicures and manicures administered by skilled therapists. Violet also has her own gym and a sauna, the latter with room for two guests.

The rooftop Sun Deck has plenty of loungers and is also used for dinners under the stars. There is a cozy well-stocked bar with wooden chairs and cushions, a small boutique, and an informative library-lounge. The boat’s exclusivity is affirmed with warm personal attention from the staff throughout your journey.

Activities And Excursions

Activities include excursions on a bamboo rowing boat to a fishing village, a walk to a hill top view point, hiking and kayaking, squid fishing, a trip to Halong Bay’s largest cave and a floating pearl farm. Tai Chi classes, talks and presentations on the local culture, and Vietnamese cooking classes are available daily. Watching the sunset over Halong Bay with a signature cocktail such as ‘The Heritage’ or the ‘Halong Fantasy’ is an unforgettable experience from Violet’s deck.

Offering an intimate Halong Bay cruise experience, the lovely Violet is perfect for a romantic sojourn with your loved one. The cruise can likewise be enjoyed as an individual or with a small group of friends.
